Suffolk - Kathy Aston Parker, aged 62, was called home by God on September 19, 2017. She was born in Suffolk, Virginia, the daughter of the late Beverly C. Aston and Janie Byrd Aston. She was predeceased by her brother, Ron L. Aston. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Weeks B. Parker III, her daughter Miki Parker Skeen (Jorma), her son, Ben Parker (Paige), one granddaughter, Janie Kathryn Skeen and one grandson, Townes Parker. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Aston McCloud and Beverly Aston McGahee, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Everyone who knew Kathy knew that her passion in life was her love for her family and friends. She will be missed by all. A celebration of life service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Suffolk Christian Church with the Rev. Michael Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church cemetery.

Kathy's family will receive family and friends at Parr Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at other times in the home of Terry and Beverly McGahee. Parr Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family. Condolences can be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
