William was the son of Enos Musgrove/Musgrave & Amanda Lemmon - also spelled Leming. The Surname of Musgrave has also been known to be spelled Musgrove. William fought in the Battle at Shiloh in the Civil War & served in the 42nd Indiana Infantry with General William T. Sherman. It was said that he was a Cumberland Presbyterian and had bright red hair. He moved from IN. between 1870 & 1880 and then moved to Texas to Newalla Oklahoma in 1891 according to the census. William married 2 times. 1st Nancy Medcalf. To this union 1 children was born. A 2nd marriage to Mizella Jane Medcalf. To this union 8 children were born.
