Emanuel Bienz of Plymouth, ninety-nine years old, died at 2:35 a.m., Monday, October 11, at Parkview hospital after an illness of five weeks. He was a son of John and Mary (Schuller) Bienz and was born January 22, 1855, a Van Wert, Ohio, and had been a resident of Marshall county for sixty-four years. In 1881 he was married to Lucinda Fox, who died in 1931.
Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Keyser of Bremen and Mrs. Vern Flozenzier of Plymouth, with whom he made his home; one sister, Mrs. Lena Holbrook of Decatur; ten grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and fifteen great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in Calvary Lutheran church in Plymouth, where Mr. Bienz was a member. Rev. E. E. Laabs, pastor of the church, officiated in the service and burial was in the Bremen Cemetery.
