Ezra Edward "Ed" Cummings, Jr. passed away on January 2, 2010 with his daughters by his side. He was the son of Ezra Edward Cummings, Sr. and Mildred Cummings Varden. Ed was born on October 21, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ed was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather (Pa-Pa). He lived most of his life in Corpus Christi and was the owner of Cummings Sheet Metal for 29 years. Ed was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Edward Cummings, Sr. and step-father, Olan Varden.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
The family is forever grateful for the caregivers and staff at Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge in Schertz, Texas for their loving care during his last few years.
