Chicopee – William H. Welsh, 72, of 419 Montcalm St., Fairview, a retired production manager for P.T.M. Industries in Westfield, died Sunday in Holyoke Hospital. Born in Ludlow, he attended schools there and lived in Holyoke for many years before moving to Fairview several years ago. He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Lorraine Gelinas; four sons, William of Virginia, Capt. Robert Welsh of Washington, Richard of Mississippi and Michael of Springfield; two daughters, Kathleen Houck of Agawam and Maureen Ethier of Springfield; a sister, Cecile Wall of Long Island, NY; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is the son of William P Welsh and Mary J Welch.
The funeral will be Thursday at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, Holyoke, and in the church with burial in Bethany Cemetery, Monson.
