Alice B.Ruebhausen, 93, retired educator, died April 14. Rosary 7 p.m. Wednesday, Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Funeral Service Chapel, and funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary Catholic Church.

Alice Ballew Ruebhausen passed away peacefully April 14, 2016. Alice was born June 21, 1922 in El Dorado KS to James T and Gladys Ballew. She graduated from El Dorado High School and Bethany College. Alice married Edward C Ruebhausen June 3, 1946. She spent her career teaching in various schools in rural KS, many of her student's maintained contact throughout the rest of her life. Alice enjoyed travel, entertaining, and lively conversation. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward C Ruebhausen, sister, Betty Lou Andreson, and brother James Edward Ballew. She is survived by her brother-in-law Neal Andreson, Plainville KS, 5 nephews and 4 nieces. Her sharp wit will be missed. There will be a Rosary 7 PM Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Fitzgerald's Southwood Colonial Chapel. Mass celebrating her life will be held 10 AM Thursday April 21, 2016 at St Mary's Catholic Church followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Parish in Tulsa.
