Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Park, with military rites provided by VFW Post #2534 of Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Church from 10:00-11:00 AM.
Raymond was born October 10, 1922 in Auburndale, WI to Joseph and Lena (Pongratz) Pankratz. He married Marian S. Holm on February 3, 1951 in Lebanon, Oregon. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2012. Raymond was employed by the City of Wisconsin Rapids for many years retiring in 1986.
Raymond served in the United States Army during WW II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of VFW Post 2534 of Wisconsin Rapids.
Most days Raymond could be found spending time with his grandchildren, cheering for them at various sporting events, fishing, or being their chauffer.
Raymond is survived by three children, Jack (Beth) Pankratz of Kaukauna, WI, Michele (Chris) Anderson of Green Bay, WI and Mike (Lynn) Pankratz of Little Suamica, WI; and one sister-in-law Joyce Mortenson of Loomis, CA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, sisters and brothers.
