John moved to Lake Placid about 10 years ago, after a very active broadcasting career, best known for his time at the Magic Morning Show with Lanigan, Webster and Malone at Magic 105 in Cleveland. He also worked in Davenport, Iowa; Chicago; Detroit; and New York City.

John was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2004. He was part-owner of recording studio, "The Real Thing," in Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by stepson, William Fox.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Fox; two sons, Derek (Laura) Webster and Jeremey (Jessie) Webster; two daughters, Christine (Tom) Walsh and Terri (Dr. Elbert) DeRubertis; two stepsons, Jonathan Fox and Jason Fox; brother, Peter Stoltz; 18 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.
