Sparr - Bonnie Jean Smith, retired, 75 passed away Friday September 29, 2017, at her home. She was born in Winter Haven and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Bonnie touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her work as a teacher’s assistant at Sparr Elementary teaching students to read for 28 years, was the passion of her life. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Russell James Smith of Sparr, FL; son Roy Lee Smith of Sparr, FL; sister, Sandra Pitts of Bronson, FL; brothers, Robert White of The Villages, FL; Richard White of Bronson, FL and David White of Bell, FL; granddaughter Christianna Smith.
Memorial Service will be today, October 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., at Unity Baptist Church. Memorial contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to Florida Baptist Children's Home PO Box 8190 Lakeland, FL 33802. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home.
