Earle Joseph Aber Jr. was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Airforce, assigned as a Pilot Flying a B-17 in the 406th Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomber Group (Heavy).

Earle was Killed by friendly fire ( British AA Fire) and crashed in the North Sea in the mouth of the River Stour, on March 4, 1945, and he is honored with a Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart, Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.
