Born June 19, 1932, in Cass County, She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Myers) Yantis.
In 1950 she married the late Kenneth Cox, who preceded her in death in 1979. On December 31, 1980, she married the late Charles E. Becker, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.
A 1950 graduate of Metea High School, Marilyn was a proud farmer’s wife.
Marilyn was a devoted member of Metea Baptist Church as well as an active member of the Gideons International. One of Marilyn’s greatest joys in life was going on mission trips. Her missionary work took her to places like Haiti and Guyana.
She is survived by, one daughter, Sue (Frank) Hodge of Camden; three step daughters, Diane (Jack) Zimpleman, Donna (Tim) Corn and Darla Becker; one brother, Ben (Ruth Ann) Yantis of Logansport; one sister, Nettie Schriner-Yantis of Virginia; grandchildren, Don (Theresa) Hurst of Delphi and April (Corey)Kirby of Illinois; stepgrandchildren, Angie (Paul) Deming, Ryan (Lisa) Zimpleman, Christy Corn, Greg (Camile) Zimpleman, Evan (Nicole) Corn, Laura (Jake) Woolever, Kyle (Eliza) Corn, Nancy Gunter, Sara (Ben) Vangan and Aaron Gunter; 12 great-grandchildren; and many step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister Norma Martin.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Harry Roselle officiating.
Burial will be in Metea Cemetery.
