Child Killed by Kick from Horse
The three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John kersbergen, living one mile west of Knoxville was killed by a horse saturday morning while her father was leading the animal out of the barn. The horse stumbled and fell, knocking the child down and stepping on her chest. She sustained internal injuries from which she died about four o'clock the same afternoon. The little girl had accompanied her father to the barn and was walking along side when the accident happened.
The remains were brought to Pella and funeral services held from the home of his brother, Henry Kersbergen, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. J. De Haan. Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery.
