Chris, 28, was a United States military veteran who served in Afghanistan. He was in Las Vegas celebrating his birthday with his mother at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip and was one of the victims of the mass shooting that evening.

Chris was in Las Vegas with his mother to celebrate his upcoming 29th birthday. Having spent the day at the swimming pool, his mother awoke late from a nap and went to meet Chris at the concert. They were on opposite sides of the stage when his mother phoned him to acquire about his whereabouts. Christopher was mostly deaf in his left ear due to numerous explosions in Afghanistan. He was medically discharged from the Navy in 2012. He could not hear his mother that night so she decided to stay put and find Chris after the concert. She would not see him again. Chris died from a bullet to the chest.

Chris served in the United States Navy as a dog handler and rose to Petty Officer 3rd class. He earned an Army Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Ribbon, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation. He was a manager at Crunch Fitness Gym in Colorado. He loved music and singing karaoke. His favorite singers were Luis Miguel and Christian Castro. He was a romantic who enjoyed watching 'chick flicks' with his mother.

He is survived by his parents, step parents, three brothers, two sisters, a grandfather, his grandmothers, a great grandmother, aunts, uncles and many more who loved him.
