Marjorie Ann Thomas, 91, of Goreville, IL passed away on October 2, 2017. Marjorie was born May 16, 1926 in Barrington, Illinois to Samuel G. and Lorena E. (Davis) Blank. She was their 13th child. Marjorie married Ora Thomas on Jan. 20, 1952 in Springfield, IL. Marjorie was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1944. Marjorie worked at Chicago Rawhide and Eagle Foods in Elgin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, her husband, and an infant son. Those mourning her loss are son Gary (Betsy) Lange of Bradenton, FL and Joyce (Richard) Kelley of Goreville. 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She attended Goreville 1st Baptist Church. Her wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will take place Thursday Oct. 19 at 7:00 pm. Pastor Brian Murley will conduct the service. Interment will take place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery south of Buncombe, IL. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
