TANNER, ROBERT E. Lansing Age 74, was born on September 5, -1924, in Big Rapids, MI, and passed away on November 19, 1998, after a long, courageous fight with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bernice Tanner, and grandson, Michael Mansberger. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for many years and served on several committees as well as serving as Head Usher. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lois; his daughters, Diane (Phil) Thomas, Linda Tanner (John Burley), and Joni Mansberger; grandchildren, Matthew and Kelli Mansberger and Ashley and Jonathan Thomas; sisters, ileen Wilkinson, Veva (John) Abrahamsen and Feme Lolmaugh; several nieces and nephews.

Bob was well know for his devotion to the A Grocery Stores for over 40 years. His hobby was his love of 'people" and being a good listener. He also loved grandfather clocks, of which he built two. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to his special aide, Car-lene Davis, and Hospice nurses, Dawn Weitzel and Lyn Memorial services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 1900 Boston Lansing, on Tuesday, November 24, 1998, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Bekofske officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Hospice of Clinton Memorial and Sparrow in memory of Robert E.
