WOONSOCKET, RI- William J. Bradshaw, 90, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Holiday Retirement Skilled Nursing, in Lincoln, RI. He was the loving husband to the late Dolores Rose (Dufresne) Bradshaw.

Born April 28, 1927, in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Bradshaw.

William grew up in Attleboro and attended Attleboro Public Schools. William bravely enlisted in United States Navy, during which he fought in WWII and achieved the rank of Seaman Second Class. William worked in construction and as a custodian for the City of Attleboro School department, where he was fondly known as “Mr. B” and also as a crossing guard at the Finnberg and Hyman Fine Schools.

In his spare time, William enjoyed fishing and taking trips to the casino with his late daughter Carol. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time and creating memories with his family.

William is survived by his cherished sons, William F. Bradshaw and his wife Maria of Lincoln, RI and Charles M. Bradshaw and his wife JoAnne of Tiverton, RI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 17 siblings; and also many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, William is predeceased by his dear daughter and caretaker Carol Glynn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St. Attleboro.

Burial will take place privately in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
