Brandon Adams was fatally wounded in a double shooting in the Desire area on April 27, 2012.

Brandon Shane Adams, an 8th grade student at KIPP Believe College Prep and KIPP Central City Academy, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the age of 15.

Brandon was known for cooking the best hamburgers and always actively playing basketball, football, and lacrosse. He was also known for his stylish dress, tennis shoe collection, snapback hats and headbands.

Beloved son of Shawan Adams Frank and Brian Frank. Loving brother of Brian Frank, Eric, Warnae, Makala, and Oreion Adams, Bricen Drummond, Bryant Wells, Byron Peck, Bryant Robertson and Drishell Thomas. Grandson of Earnistine Frank, Yolanda M. Wilson, Aldolphus Wilson and the late Lela Mae Adams, Frank Gettridge, Joseph Leiger, III., and Curtis Joseph Johnson, Sr. Great grandson of Margie Riley and the late Dan Riley, Sr.; also survived by a niece and a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.

Brandon will truly be missed by his large and loving family.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Bernard Community Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; staff and students of KIPP New Orleans Schools are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Bernard Community Baptist Church, 3938 St. Bernard Ave., New Orleans, La. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

Pastor Andrew Darby, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Providence Park Cemetery- Metairie, La.
