From the Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Miss., April 12, 1893, p. 4:
William, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Ferguson, died Tuesday evening at the home of his parents on South Congress street after a protracted illness with typho-malarial fever.
Mr. Ferguson recently moved from his old home in Brandon to this city, and thus the blow is doubly severe. William was in his eighteenth year, a peaceable, quiet, unassuming, gentlemanly lad, and gave promise of becoming a useful citizen. The stricken family has the sympathy of a large number of friends here and elsewhere. The funeral took place this evening at 3 o’clock.
