Jane "Big Jane" Markwalter Eubanks

Jane Markwalter Eubanks, "Big Jane", born August 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles Victor and Agnes Sheehan Markwalter died Saturday, October 7, 2017.

She is survived by her children Walter and Beth Eubanks, Patricia and Preston Scoggins, Susan and Sam Nicholson, Jane and Jim Gleichauf, and Tony Eubanks.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Jackson, Will and Brooke Jackson, Preston and Natalie Scoggins, Julie and Jonathan Lynn, Thomas and Dawn Scoggins, Patrick Scoggins, Katherine Scoggins, Daniel and Lauren Eubanks, Charles and Kristy Eubanks, Sarah and Jason Pociask, Patricia Eubanks, Michael and Brooks Eubanks, Katie and Rob Wynn, Sam and Anne Marie Nicholson, Jane and Adam Kuhlenbeck, and Sadie Day Eubanks.

She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Jack and Marcelene Markwalter, Mary Gambill and Louise Wright.

She was preceded in death by her son Charles Preston Eubanks, brothers and sisters Dick Markwalter, Wish Markwalter, Ann Leonard, all of Augusta and Agnes Brennan of Savannah, Georgia.

The family would like to thank nurses Brenda Haislip, Nicole Lawson of Trinity Hospice, Dr. Bill Neumann, Dr. Jonathon Lawson, and Dr. Walter Anderson for their compassionate care.

The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with celebrants Bishop Kevin Boland and Fr. Mark Ross. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

A vigil service will be Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends following until 8:00 P.M. at the church.
