Caitlin Janelle Brockway, age 26, of Washington, passed away peacefully with her mother by her side on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her home, after her less than nine month battle with breast cancer.
Caitlin was born on April 18, 1991 in Peoria, IL to Sheri L. Brockway and Robert M. Huskey.
Surviving are her son, Carrick S. Kelley (4yrs) and her daughter, Callen H. Kelley (3yrs), both of Washington; her mother, Sheri Brockway, of Washington; her father, Robert M. Huskey, of Washington; her ex-husband, Joseph Kelley, II, of Peoria; her brother, Ryan A. Closen, of Washington; her sister, Jordan Huskey, of Peoria, IL; her paternal grandparents, Jan (Terry) Graham of Peoria and Robert T. Huskey of East Peoria; two aunts, Brittany (Josh) Beeney, of Peoria and Annie (Alex) Friedrichsen of East Peoria; her uncle, Jacob (Deborah) Graham, of Missouri; one nephew, Landon E. Smith and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Howard L. Brockway and Priscilla Brockway.
Caitlin worked in Administration for UnityPoint Health Methodist and Proctor Hospitals in Peoria and had previously worked for Taco Johns for nine years. She was a member of BridgeWay Community Church in Pekin and she also enjoyed Anime, often attending Anime conventions.
Caitlin loved her children dearly; they were her world, her heart and soul. She loved spending quality time with Carrick and Callen, often taking them on special little trips and doing arts and crafts with them.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m.at the VVI Bunker, 100 W. Bittersweet Rd., Washington, IL 61571. Arrangements were handled through The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria.
