A chapel service will be held Thursday, March 15th, 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield. Interment will follow. Marion passed away on the morning of March 10, 2007, in Bakersfield, CA, with his family at his side. Marion was born October 29, 1927 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to William and Dolly. He came to California in 1944, married and had two daughters, Marian and Marlene, and a son, Kenneth. He was a hard worker, beginning in the dry cleaning business and eventually became well-known throughout the local automobile business for his outstanding sales accomplishments. He excelled in management at several automotive dealerships and was a well-respected leader. He, along with his wife, Colene, previously owned Bow-tique Furniture and Accessories, then Estate Liquidators until his death. He enjoyed mornings on his patio feeding his special blue-jays, training them to sit on his shoulder and eat from his hand. Marion was preceded in death by his father, William Bow; his precious, beloved mother, Dolly Deramus; and his stepfather, Millard Deramus. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Colene; stepmother, Reedy Bow of Ardmore, OK; one son, Kenneth Bow of Auburn, WA; two daughters, Marian Lewis of Bakersfield, CA, Marlene Alspaw and husband, Dan of Ashdown, AR, Linda Hudson of Reno, NV; five brothers, Bill Bow and wife, Kay of Hurst, TX, Leon Bow and wife, Ruth Ann of Big Sandy, TX, Dan Deramus and wife, Linda, Doyle Deramus and wife, Lorna, Randy Deramus and wife, Janet, all of Mena, AR; four sisters, Mae Dean Hoover, Mary Ellen Titsworth, Betty Mae Philpot, Janice Faye Henry and husband, Wayne, all of Mena, AR; four grandsons, Dallis M. Lewis and wife, Cynnde of Tehachapi, CA, Duane Alspaw and wife, Stacey of De Queen, AR, Burl Hudson and wife, Terrie of Hillsboro, OR, Duke Alspaw of De Queen, AR; three granddaughters, Dannette Lundberg and husband, Bob of De Queen, AR, Sheri Ellis and husband, Geoff of Bakersfield, CA, Kendra Purtell and husband, Buddy of Bakersfield, CA; six great-grandsons; four great- granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
