Earl E. Young, 79, of Wadsworth, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Altercare of Wadsworth, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Young was born in Wadsworth, where he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a machinist at National Rubber Machinery, retiring in 1983 with 31 years of service. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Smith); son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cheryl of Wadsworth; son, William of Wadsworth; daughter, Martha "Marti" of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin.
Graveside service: Noon on Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Jonathan A. Knight will officiate. Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1089 and American Legion post 170 will conduct military services.
