Glenn Harold Adams

Glenn Harold Adams came into this world September 17, 1937, and left it May 31, 2017, at the Grangeville Health and Rehab Center to be with his Lord.
Glenn was born in Salem, Ore. to Stanley H. and Cordelia May (Clark) Adams. The family traveled extensively for the next few years and by the age of 10, Glenn, his parents, and seven of his siblings drove across country to arrive in Council, Idaho. Glenn went to work with his father for the Cattle Association, then at the Solen Upper Ranch at Midvale, Idaho.
Hard work and clean living as a cowboy in the spectacular mountains and river-break country of central Idaho drew Glenn into deep harmony and love with nature for the rest of his life. Glenn developed his natural ability with training horses and constantly impressed friends and neighbors with his gentle and persuasive way of working with animals.
In March, 1958, he met Helen Rowena Rowan, who swept him off his feet with her quick wit and southern charm. Six months later they were married and would remain so, taking on their life adventures together for the next fifty-nine years, until his passing. Their many adventures included building their home overlooking the South Fork of the Clearwater River in Harpster, Idaho, raising children and lots of hard work. In 1959 Glenn built the last ten units of the Elk Horn Lodge in Grangeville, Idaho. He also worked as a boilerman in Elk City, Idaho and as a sawyer for Jim Collins. He eventually settled into driving logging trucks, continuing in his steady way for the next forty-five years. He primarily drove for Pierson Enterprises out of Grangeville, but also for Rowen Trucking.
To the union of Glenn and Rowena Adams were added:
Brett A. Adams, Anjeleigh M. Trefz (m. Larry Trefz) (c. Mindi Lamb, Tristan Trefz);
Kim M. Walker (m. Steve Walker), niece and foster daughter but daughter in our hearts (3 children, 6 grandchildren).
Glenn had 9 born siblings including: Minnie Ledington (m. Ted (D), Dorothy Boykin (D) (m. James (D), Merlene Fowler, Mary Shaw (m. Alvin), Betty Bean (m. William), Walter Adams (D), Ruth Cavazos (m. George).
Numerous nieces and nephews, oodles of friends and many calling them “Mom” and “Dad”
