Gwendolyn Matilda Carey Perkins, 70, of Royston, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Ms. Perkins was born in Royston, GA on September 21, 1947, daughter of the late James Daron Carey and the late Martha Sue Randall Carey. She was a retired hairdresser/barber having worked with Mr. Haircut in Athens, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Hart.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Brooke Perkins of Royston, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Rusty Harrison of Martin, GA; grandchildren, Nicole Perkins, Alex Perkins, Kale Harrison, Reid Harrison and Breana Harrison; great grandchildren, Bryson and Maylee; brothers, Nelson Carey, Byron Carey and Stanley Carey all of Royston, GA.

Funeral services will be held at Royston First United Methodist Church at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 15, 2017, with Rev. Jerome Hill and Rev. Justin Baskins officiating. Interment will follow in Cary Memorial Gardens.
