Lula Mae "LuLu" Stamps, 83, of Poland, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away October 10, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The daughter of Mort and Ida Hall Carson, Lula Mae was born January 31, 1934 in Campton, Kentucky.

She worked as an assembler with RCA for 30 years. She later worked in the meat department at the Value Market in Cloverdale and as a cashier at WalMart in Greencastle. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Cunot, the VFW, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. LuLu enjoyed working in the yard, crocheting, fishing and boating. Her greatest past time was spending it with family.

Lula Mae is survived by a son, Bobby Carson of Poland; two daughters, Sheila (Gregory) Utterback of Indianapolis and Lou Ann Kapp of Poland; her twin sister, June Marshall; grandchildren, Chad, Amanda and Adam Lambert, Heather and Chris Walters, Derrick Higdon and Nicole Brewster and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Stamps and son, Jeffery Lambert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. October 17, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home – 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
