He was the youngest son of the late Josiah W. and Sarah R. Bagg. Early in life he moved with parents to New Hartford.
Mr. Bagg was of colonial stock. His grandfather was a soldier in the war of the Revolution and his father in the war of 1812.
In June, 1848, he married Nancy Jane Budlong, eldest daughter of the late David and Margaret Budlong of Cassville.
His three surviving children are Alice M., wife of M.M. Wagner of Whitesboro; Charles Munson Bagg of Buffalo and Jennie Grove, wife of H.B. Kenyon of Whitesboro. Rome Daily Sentinel, Saturday Evening, March 3, 1906
