Fred Charles McGriff, son of Grover J. and Mary L. McGriff, age 88 of Marietta, passed away October 12, 2017. Funeral services were held at Milford Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Howard officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.

Mr. McGriff served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Tokyo for 2 years. He was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Mail Carrier of Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years Calista McGriff; son Doug (Barbara) McGriff, daughters Brenda (Chris) Cooper, Cynthia (Kevin) Donovan, of Marietta; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister Estelle McGriff Dacus Beaufort, SC; numerous nieces and nephews

Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna was in charge of arrangements.
