He attended school at Central and later went to work for Fibercast for ten years. Doy worked for CRC Pipeline for fifteen years and then the City of Tulsa for two years before retiring as Warehouse Superintendent of Shipping and Receiving. He loved driving his 79 Corvette, eating at nice restaurants and especially loved his family.

He is survived by wife, a daughter, a son Roy Dale Sewell, five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Doy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; George E. “Butch” Sewell, a sister; Lavada Creagor and grandson; Mathew Sewell.
Celebration of life service will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., October 20, 2017 at Mobley-Groesbeck Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
