He was born March 21, 1927 in Grygla, MN, the son of Thorstein and Anna (Willand) Lysaker.
Following his schooling, Sidney served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Eileen Evenson on June 7, 1964 in Wildrose, ND. The couple resided in Wildrose, ND, Ventura, CA and most recently in Hayward, WI. Sidney worked as a mechanic for several years and later he owned and operated an Upholstery Business in Ventura, CA.
Sidney was an avid reader, woodworker and enjoyed to watch Western movies. He loved music and played guitar for the Tri County Playboys who played for Ronald Regan back in the 1980's. Sidney was a life-time member of the California Fiddlers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughter, Terri Lysaker; son, Jason (Tera) Lysaker; 4 grandchildren, Cody Smith, Skylar, Shannon and Shayna Lysaker; a brother, John (Marlys) Lysaker; sisters, Myrtle Raynor and Eloise Thorson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Harriet Sundsrud, Kathleen Heuer and an infant sister, Bernice; and brothers, Malcolm and Allen.
A funeral service will be held in Wildrose, ND later this week. Interment will be held in the Wildrose cemetery.
