Buried in Markey family plot beside Martha A. Monnett (nee Markey). The couple had nine children, six lived to adulthood. Infants and toddlers that died young are most likely buried at Kirkpatrick.

Note: ODC 1921-10769 was incorrectly indexed by the state of Ohio as James "L." Monnett. The name on this memorial, legal papers, and his obituary in the Marion Star is correct.
