DUMAS - Maria Cynthia Quiroz, 59, died Friday, July 31, 2009.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Menard.

Maria was born July 17, 1950, in Menard to David and Bertha Rosas Quiroz. She had earned her master's degree from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.

Survivors include a daughter, Yvette Musick; two sons, Marcos Pizano and Joseph Allen Pizano; and her mother.
