Erwin Brink was born December 19, 1928 in Harrison, S.D. In July 1951, Erwin married Ruth Keizer from Plankinton. Erwin was in the U.S. Navy in the San Francisco area from 951-55. He then enrolled at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where he received a Bachelor's decree in Electrical Engineering in 1959
Erwin and Ruth then moved to Richardson, Tx where Erwin was employed with Collins Radio, later Rockwell Collins. Erwin and Ruth welcomed their daughter Lynn in 1969 Julie Tindall, the daughter of Ruth's sister Florence, joined the family in 1972.
Erwin suffered a major stroke in 1980 and lived at home for the next 35 years. For the last year Erwin live at the San Remo skilled nursing facility in Richardson, Texas.
