Born July 11, 1977, in Erie, he was a son of Douglas P. and Debbie L. (Murphy) Lutz, of Lewistown, who survive.
Justin was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Richard Murphy, and Clifford and Marjorie Maunder; and a brother, Brent.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: a son, Graycen Lutz, of Berwick; paternal grandparents, Paul L. Jr. and Phyllis L. Lutz, of Lewistown; and his siblings, Eric Lutz and wife, Kim, of Columbia, Md., Bryant Lutz, of Manassas, Va., Miranda Coleman and husband, Ryan, of Halifax; and niece and nephew, Quinn and Wyatt Coleman.
Justin graduated from Lewistown Area High School, Class of 1995, and from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
Justin was employed as a medical technologist at John Hopkins Hospital, and later, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors, and was a faithful fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Flyers.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service, from 12:30 until 2 p.m.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
