NOTE: According to Debbie Sisk, the following info came from "Scrap's brother, Tom Bernard - "Martha Frankie's nickname was "Scrap" because she was just a little scrap of a thing. Scrap died from burns suffered when she played in the lard and then climbed up and got the matches from the top of the stove. When she lit the match, she was burned badly. She lived about a day in the hospital before she died. Her mother, Cynthia Louise Kidd Bernard was with her when she died."
