Guy Curtis Gullion, 83, of Knoxville passed away Monday morning at Collins Hospital where he had been a patient since January 7. He had been in failing health for the past six years.


He was a life-long resident of Marion County and was born on a farm east of Attica the son of William and Elizabeth Davis Gullion. He was united in marriage to Pearle Hibbets on December 17, 1919 in Knoxville and the couple made their home on a farm east of Columbia for fifty years before moving to Knoxville in 1969.


He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.


Left are his wife, Pearle; five sons, Stanley Gullion of Des Moines, Howard, Glenn, Arthur and Ralph all of Knoxville; four daughters, Mrs. Marion Louise Roush of Melrose, Iowa, Mrs. Leo Leta Kingery of Columbia, Mrs. Jack Blanche Kingery of Knoxville, Mrs. James Marlene Maulsby of Macon, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
