Teddy “Ted” Wayne Roller, 78, of Purdy went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 while at Roaring River Inn in Cassville. He was born in Butterfield, MO on August 15, 1939; the son of the late Don J. and Irene {Roden} Roller. He was united in marriage on November 26, 1958 in Monett to Iva Jean Erwin; she survives.

He was a retired farmer and machinist having worked for R and M Industries in Purdy, MO, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Purdy, the Barry County Genealogy Society and Author and owner of T and I Publishing.

Ted was an avid sportsman and loved to fish hunt and travel, he was a man with great faith in his Lord and loved working with the kids at church teaching them about hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Genealogy and history was his passion during these past few years of his retirement.

Ted is survived by his wife Iva of the home; one son, Curtis Roller (Pam) of Purdy; one daughter, Melinda Theriault (Roger) of Purdy; one brother, Bill Roller (Peggy) of Purdy; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by both his parents: Don and Irene, his sister Donna Dodson and her husband Morris.

Funeral services were held on Friday October 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Purdy. Rev. Bill Banks and Rev. Lee Neill officiated. Burial the Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy.

Memorial donations for Ted may be made to the Barry County Genealogy Society.
