Mrs. Martha Ann Pepper age 75 of Brownsville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 in Tennova Regional Hospital in Jackson.

She was born May 24, 1942 in Crockett County to the late Murray Brooks and Lenier Simmons Brooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Bubba Johnson and Mary Cook; one brother and three sisters, Carlie Brooks, Ruby Brooks, Frances McCoy, and Irene Lloyd.

Survivors include a son, Richard Pepper of Brownsville; two daughters, Lynn Rogers and Paula Johnson both of Brownsville; brother, Jessie Brooks of Jackson. Other survivors include nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pepper will be conducted Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Russ officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Pepper family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from noon until the service hour.
