David J. Considine, age 57, of Amboy, died Tuesday Oct. 24, 2017 as a result of an auto accident.

He was born Jan. 25, 1960 in Amboy the son of David D. and Suzanne (Fischer) Considine. He was employed as an operating engineer for Local 150 for the past 39 years. David was a highly sought after skilled operator with a strong work ethic. The only thing bigger than his smile was his heart and willingness to help others. David loved celebrations and gatherings with family and friends and when it came to his grandchildren he beamed with joy. We find comfort in knowing he lived life to the fullest, his motto was "Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting "Hell Yeah... What a ride... I enjoyed every moment".

David is survived by his children, Elizabeth Considine of Dixon, Kathryn (Jason) Boyle of Sterling, Valerie (David) St James of Sycamore; 7 grandchildren, Trevor and Kenedie Considine, Hudson St James, and Addisyn, Halle, Alivia and Hillary Boyle; his mother, Suzanne Considine of Loves Park; brothers, Rick (Colleen) Considine of Byron, Brad (Jenny) Considine of Glenwood, MD, John (Stefanie) Considine of Orlando, FL; his sister, Ann Considine of Byron; nephews, Sean, Ryan, Christian, Drew, Caleb, and Mason Considine, Austin and Dillon Van Lankvelt; nieces, Megan, Emily and Abigail Considine; and his life partner, Lori Cecchetti Goodeill of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Considine.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 beginning with a 9:45 AM prayer service at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St Flannen Catholic Church in Harmon.
