Rich was born in Price, Utah. His family later lived in Rock Springs and Casper, Wyoming. He grew up enjoying a wonderful outdoor life of fishing and rafting the many beautiful rivers and lakes. From a young age he was hard-working and ambitious.

Rich was the owner/manager of the KOA campground in Kerrville, TX which he and his family purchased in 1988. He was a superbly kind gentleman, a devoted father to his daughter, Sarah and avid motorcyclist, leading friends on rides around the Texas hill country where he lived.

Rich could repair or fix just about anything! He helped countless friends and customers of the campground fixing everything from motorcycles and cars to RV's, boats.. you name it!. It was truly the favorite part of his job.

Rich died suddenly from an apparent heart attack. He will be missed by all who knew him.
