Virden, Feb. 14. - Albert H. Duckworth, 59, local undertaker, died at 8 a.m., Feb. 14, 1940, at his home following a week illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Duckworth was born in Sangamon county, a son of John and Mary Duckworth.
He had resided in the Virden community almost all of his life.
He was in the undertaking business fifteen years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ella Duckworth; one daughter, Mrs. Elmo Davis, and three grandchildren of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Clara Webb, Springfield; and one brother, William Duckworth, St. Louis.
Funeral services were held at the First Christian church.
Masonic services were held at the church.
Interment was made in the Virden cemetery.
