Skip was born July 15, 1936 in Ogden, Utah, to Albert Holt and Dorthea West Lamb. He grew up in Roy, Utah, spending his early years on his grandparent’s farm. He graduated in 1954 from the old Weber High School and worked the summer for the Forest Service in Pierce, Idaho enjoying the mountains. He attended Weber State College and Stevens-Henager’s Business College.

They were blessed with three children: Paulette (B.A.) Adams, Annette (Cecil) Fisher and Steve (Jill) Lamb. They raised their children in Hooper which will always be called home, moving to Syracuse, Utah in 2013. He was proud of his family, loved them dearly and was always concerned for each one.
