A former Indianapolis resident who is a top executive in a Chicago advertising firm was among 13 persons killed Wednesday night in the crash of a helicopter at Park Forest, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Included among those killed was Robert H. Askren, 48 years old, son of Indianapolis attorney Earl J. Askren.
Askren, executive vice-president of Raymond Loewe Associates the last five years, was en route to his home at suburban Park Ridge, Illinois after a business trip to the West Coast when the helicopter crashed.
A nationally known commercial artist, Mr. Askren moved from Indianapolis about 15 years ago when he joined the advertising firm.
