William B. Berkhof, age 81, of Grand Rapids, formally of Holt, MI, was called home by his loving Lord and Savior on Friday, October 27, 2017.
He is survived by his son, David and daughter-in-law Kimberly; grandchildren, Benjamen, Hannah, and Natalie; sister, Carole and brother-in-law Melvin Van Boven; brother-in-law, George Cool; sisters-in-law, Sandy Cool, Grace and William Schoedel.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, June Ruth; son, Jonathan; and his father and mother, William and Adrianne Berkhof.
He worked as a librarian for the State of Michigan. William loved sailing with his father, going camping, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, November 1, at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE Grand Rapids) from 12 -1 pm with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm with pastors Kurt Wenzelburger and James F.
