Obituary
Alice G. (Flewelling) Bentley, 94 died in the Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, Pa., where
she was making her home. She formerly made her home in Manomet, where she was
very active in the Second Church of Plymouth, Congregational, at Manomet.
She was the wife of the late Ellsworth B. Bentley.
She was born in Easton, Maine, on Sept. 8, 1898, daughter of the late Albert and Matilda
(Buckingham) Flewelling. She attended school in Gardiner, Maine.
She was organist and a member of the Manomet Church Women's Society.
Mrs. Bentley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Loring (Thelma) P. Wilkis of Lansdale, Pa.
and Priscilla B. Bush of Great Falls, Va.; two half sisters, Mrs. Leah Eaton of Gorham, Maine,
and Fern Knox of Fort Pierce, Fla.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, in the Second Church of Plymouth,
Congregational, Manomet with the Rev. Loring Wilkins and the Rev. Mark Eppinger-Mendes
officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Manomet Cemetery.
Visiting hours are omitted. Richard Warren Davis Funeral Home, North Plymouth made the
arrangements.
