Charles "Charlie" Edward Wills, 78 of Heyworth, passed away on October 28, 2017 at the OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2pm at the Heyworth Christian Church with Pastor Pete Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Wednesday at the church. Cremation rites were accorded.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wish Bone Canine Rescue, 2020 Bunn Street, Bloomington, Illinois 61704.

Charlie was born on December 11, 1938 in Normal. He is the son of Paul and Goldie (Riordan) Wills. He married Margo Wieting on March 30, 1974 in Normal.
Charlie is survived by his wife Margo, their children; Cindy (Mike) Crimmins of LaGrange, IL and Jeff (Barbara) Wills of Heyworth, grandchildren; Avery, Claire and John, sister; Nancy (Jim) Cochran of Normal, three nieces; Kelly Cochran, Kristi Locke and Kimberly Cochran and his dogs, grand dogs and cats that he loved and adored.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his in laws; Wallace and Marjorie Wieting.
Charlie graduated from Normal Community High School in 1956 and attended Illinois Wesleyan University. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963 serving as an E5 Sergeant during the Bay of Pigs Crisis. After serving in the Army he worked at the family business, Stanley and Paul's Furniture Store, until they closed in 1988. He then started his career in 1989 with the Bloomington Post Office as a Rural Postal Carrier retiring in 2005.
Charlie was a member of the Heyworth Christian Church. He loved working on his wife's family farm and mowing. He enjoyed studying history and was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan especially that of Stan Musial.
Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Comprehensive Care Center at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center for their care and kindness and to their special friends, Chuck and Diana McLean, Steve and Jannie Myers, Skip and Patty Cattron and Kathleen Douglas for all of their love and support during this time.
