Anthony R. ("Zigzag" Tony) Turiano, 79, formerly of Bridgeport, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Manorcare Healthcare Center, West Palm Beach, FL. Born in Bridgeport on December 31, 1937, beloved husband of Donna L. Turiano, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret Turiano. He attended Central High School in Bridgeport. In his early years, Tony would work at the family milk business, Lou Turiano & Sons. He also served in the National Guard as a cook for six years and Army Reserves as Mess Sargent for four years being honorably discharged in 1965, Staff Sargent E-6. Later, after 40 years of service, he retired from Teamsters Local 191 as a Road Driver, and Palm Beach County School system after 10 years of service. He had a larger than life, infectious personality and was always the highlight of many family parties. He enjoyed watching all sports events and was an avid lover of classic movies and a history buff. He also loved hunting in his younger years. Above all of his enjoyments, Tony was a dedicated father to his two daughters and a loving grandfather to his two grandchildren.

Tony was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara B. Turiano, and his brother-in-law, Henry "Butch" Renfrew. In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his daughters, Laureen Boisvert, and her husband, Matthew, of West Palm Beach, FL; and Kimberly A. Raposo and her husband, Oscar, of Easton, CT; his cherished grandchildren, Danielle and Zachary Raposo; brother, Gene Turiano and his wife Barbara, of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, James Turiano and his wife, Janet, of Bridgeport, CT; sister, Marilyn Turiano Renfrew of Wallingford, CT; brother, Louis Turiano Jr., and his wife Linda, of Lake Worth, FL; his mother-in-law, Bette Allen, of West Palm Beach, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony was generous enough to donate his body to science for research with the hope for advancement of uncured diseases. A Celebration of Life will take place in Connecticut at a date to be announced. In honor of Tony's niece, Aimee Turiano, donations may be made to the American Society for Scleroderma Research, 3593 Birdie Drive, 502A, Lake Worth, FL 33467. Checks can be made payable to ASFSR.
