Rycroft
Robert Rycroft died Thursday
morning at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Hastings W. White
with whom he had resided for the
last l9 years. He had been failing
all summer but was sick in bed
only two weeks, death being
caused by bronchial trouble
and old age. He was born in
Brantbroughton, Nottinghamshire,
England on February 1, 1828, and
came to America 43 years
ago making his home in Allston,
Mass., until he came here to live.
His wife, who was Miss Mary Fox
of Yorkshire, England, died here
11 years ago. Two children, both
of whom were born in England,
survive, their father, Mrs. White
with whom he lived and Charles
Rycroft of Boston, who came here
to intend the funeral which was
held Friday afternoon at one
o'clock Rev F. S. Tolman
officiating. The interment
was at St. Johnsbury East in
Grove cemetery.
