She was born August 21, 1934 in Shelby Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Annie (Kaeck) Davis.
She loved being around her family, she was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, she loved working on puzzle books and working on puzzles.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Sandra Mattox, Clarissa (Myron) Feather and Kristi Jo Winston; sons, Darrell (Alice) Spriggs, Timothy Ward and Freddy Spriggs; 17 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews and feline friends, Ruby and Rose.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Gibson; her first husband William A. Spriggs; her sons, Robert, Richard and William; brother, Richard Davis and sisters, Lois, Evelyn and Helen.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 in the mausoleum at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
