Micke was born February 8, 1952 in Ritzville, Washington to Floyd E. and Joan L. (Hawks) Hopkins. He was raised in Colfax and attended school in Steptoe.
During the 1970's, Micke lived in Seattle, Washington where he worked as a planer at a sawmill there. He truly loved this job.
Micke was born with Williams syndrome, a developmental disorder that affects many parts of the body. This condition is characterized by mild to moderate intellectual disability or learning problems, unique personality characteristics, distinctive facial features, and heart and blood vessel (cardiovascular) problems.
He returned to Colfax and into the care facilities of Roy McDonald. Micke met Cindy Ann Johnson and they married in 1980. Sadly, Cindy passed away in 1987.
Micke loved HO scale model trains and plastic models of all varieties. He was often seen walking in Colfax with longtime friend Vera.

In addition to his wife Cindy, he was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Todd Wise, and a niece Sierra Wilson.
He will be laid to rest in the Colfax Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
