Robt. Reed Dies At 34

Atty. Robert G. Reed, 34, of Crater Ave. Ext., assistant vice president and trust officer of the Reeves Banking & Trust Co., died at 5 a.m. today in Union Hospital. He entered the hospital last Friday for pneumonia treatment and died of leukemia.

Member of a family of attorneys, he was born in Uhrichsville, a son of Atty. Paul and Ruth Brunner Reed. He was graduated by Uhrichsville High in 1939 and Ohio University in 1943.

Following his discharge as an Air Force captain in 1945, he studied law at Ohio Northern, receiving his degree in in 1949. Prior to becoming associated with the Reeves Bank, he has a law office in Dover.

He was one of the developer of the new Reed Addition east of Crater Ave. Ext. It recently was annexed to the City of Dover.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Boards of Directors of the Wagner Lumber Co. and Dover Chemical Co., and Ohio and Tuscarawas County Bar Associations.

Surviving are his widow Marylynn Cowan Reed, to whom he was married in 1946; two daughters, Diana and Joy; his parents; three brothers, Atty. John and Richard of Uhrichsville and Theodore of Washington, D. C.

The Rev. Murray Figg will officiated at services Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Meese Funeral home. burial will be in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Elks Lodge memorial rites will be held there Saturday at 7:30 p.m."
